An aspect of her accent that must be considered is a bit out of fashion: gentility. This element changes the various accents across the south.

Seeing people in the comments loving the Georgian accent gives me a sense of pride I've never felt before. I looked up this video to realize what I sound like to other people. Very eye-opening.

Poor choice of sheet...had to watch many time before I could tell if he started with the sheet right side up or inside out. Turns out it's inside out to start. Great technique and explanation as simple as it can be. I deleted all my other how to videos on this subject.

I was a tour guide on the London open topped buses in the late 1990’s, and I will always remember four good looking, smartly dressed, fourty-something women from Georgia. They had this gorgeous, slow southern drawl which captivated me. I said to them, (in my chirpy London accent), “Where are you ladies from?”, to which they replied (and you’ll have to imagine the accent), “Jeorr-Ja”….. It was said slowly, smoothly, like melting chocolate. I then said, “I love your accent”, and one answered, “And we love yours”…. I was utterly smitten…. What lovely, gloriously feminine women they were…… Sigh …..

Chiming in here from West Virginia.. I love the Georgia accent, one of my favorites. There is something so charming about it in general to me.

I came from watching an Arizona accent tag (where I come from) and decided to start comparing to states some of my old buddies come from originally. What I found interesting is the questions answers on "what would you say to address a group of people" He said, "Well... Hi? Hello?" and wasn't too sure and I agreed in the moment, I also couldn't think of anything better than imagining myself saying Hello, to the group as a whole. But hearing her answer "Hey y'all" felt natural and also almost autocompleted in my head. Like the accent allowed me to understand the question differently, and answer differently in the moment lol, took me by surprise. cool

Very nice accent! Much of far North Georgia despite being the Southern Appalachians was settled largely by people from the Deep South rather then from farther north in Appalachia and so reflects that cultural influence.

Georgia is by far the prettiest southern accent. It is genuinely such a charming and classy southern belle accent.

A kind of accent I immediately associate with old stock Americans of largely British descent (especially English) I have noticed as a foreigner when watching media clips, residents of the south tend to have weaker accents, especially for people under 40. Urbanisation, internal migration and prejudice against southern accents are all probably part of the reason. I'm less familiar with rural Georgian accents but I imagine it could be similar to this - just more preserved with some differences

That was funny..the puppy figured it out..and was so gentle then right after she gently put it down shr turned ans watched the other dog eat it!! I saw her then hesitant about picking one up.again knowing she won't get the treat! Also u guys should really look into getting the talk buttons for dogs!! Its truly amazing !m actually a dog behaviorist and know that dogs have the same learning and comprehensive. capacity as a 2-3 year old.child. if you teach them the same way u would a child that age magical things happen! Oh ..plus u have border collies ..they are the smartest dog and are perfect at being students at learning to communicate through push talk buttons! Watch video Bunny talking dog and Stella talking dog..both great examples
